Statues For Equality, New York City
Dr. Tererai Trent was honoured as part of Statues For Equality, a public art project by internationally renowned sculptors Gillie and Marc Schattner. Her bronze statue was unveiled on Women’s Equality Day in New York City, recognising her extraordinary journey from rural Zimbabwe to becoming a global advocate for education, gender equality and women’s empowerment.
